Guerrilla Ceilidh started life on the festival circuit in 2013. Since then they have evolved into a fabulous ceilidh band. They combine the boisterous energy of a festival with the warmth of a traditional tune session in your favourite pub, and add over a decade of experience playing together.

They mix lively Irish fiddle tunes, driving guitar and funky trombone in the bass to create mischievous and feel-good sounds to get your feet going. The Oxford-based band includes Lauren Spiceley and Giles Lewin on fiddle, plus guitarist John Ruddock and Tom Green on trombone.

For this evening they’re paired with their regular caller Steph West, who loves giving clear calls, offering up cheeky dances and cheering dancers on. Steph uses gender neutral, positional calls.

Between them they’ve played / play with the Carnival Band, Maddy Prior, Bellowhead, Rholben, the Brass Funkeys, Remorae and brought the liberation of ceilidh to thousands.

There is a licensed bar with ale, cider, wine and soft drinks.

Saving the planet – Oxfolk is no longer serving drinks in disposable glasses so please bring along your own reusable glasses or purchase an Oxfolk one at the bar.
